Hoyoverse usually release the new character more than one character in the single version.
with the release lyney, lynette, and freminet , total of the playable character increase to 71 character.
Hoyoverse has a hard time keeping up with the reruns.

Previously, HoYoverse tried to solve this problem with introucing double banners in version 2.3,
and they allow players to pull for two limited five-star characters within a single banner cycle.
by providing more options to pull for in each version.
This would raise the number of available five-star banner characters per update.
it seems like hoyoverse will eventually get to introduce triple banners or adding the third phase.
It’s likely a necessary change, when looking at Eula the most missed banners since 2021 and rerun in 2023.

Each update is currently about six weeks long,
so the banners can be split into two weeks each with a third phase.
Adding a third banner phase just makes sense.
