How to Add Text in DaVinci Resolve
In this Sixty Second Tutorial we cover a method of adding text/titles in DaVinci Resolve
1. First make sure you are in the edit workspace in DaVinci.
2. In the menu bar at the top of the screen click ‘Effects Library’ which will open a new panel.
3. In this panel left click ‘Titles’, which will display a range of titles you can apply.
4. Here we’ll choose the most basic option, which is simply ‘Text’ and can drag and drop this title on a channel above our video on the timeline.
5. The text should now display in your project. In the top right hand corner, select the inspector option and here you can change the text itself.
6. Double left click in the box at the top of the inspector window to allow you to type your chosen text.
7. The inspector panel also allows you to change the properties of the text, including font, colour and size and you can use the position and alignment tools to change the location of the text in your frame.
8. Finally, you need to adjust the text duration and can add a fade in and out to smooth the transition.
