Cognitive Access to NCIL Membership MyGuide
The NCIL Library includes a set of 3 guides to support the decision making process for becoming a member of the National Council on Independent Living. The guides were designed by MyGuide-certified Occupational Therapists to support cognitive access for 3 levels of cognitive functioning. Intended for consumers with or without experience using MyGuide, these guides offer a variety of options for processing information and making a decision about NCIL membership opportunity, including asking questions, reviewing the information, gathering information, and practicing completing a form online. As with all MyGuide content, accessibility features for the consumer's choice of tablet, smartphone, or computer are available. Detailed information about the consumer's guide activities, including their entered responses such as questions and contact information, will be securely shared with NCIL representatives and any other MyGuide user given permission by the consumer.
