SDN is a networking method that employs software-based controllers or application programming interfaces (APIs) to connect with underlying hardware infrastructure and guide network traffic. Mininet is a network emulator that allows you to run massive networks on the restricted resources of a single computer or virtual machine. Mininet was intended to facilitate SDN and OpenFlow research.
MiniEdit is an experimental tool designed to show how Mininet may be expanded.
