Oda's new anime, titled Monsters, has finally arrived on Netflix. It tells the story of Ryuma, a samurai traveling the world. When he arrives in a new town, he meets a man named Shirano at a restaurant. Shirano was a famous swordsman who had saved a waitress years ago in a town attacked by a dragon. The two end up fighting, as Shirano clashes his sword with Ryuma's, but Ryuma is defeated. While still at the restaurant, Ryuma discovers that there is a man stronger than Shirano named Rei. Later, Ryuma is accused by a stranger, who uses the dragon's horn to summon a dragon to the town, sending everyone running. After the people flee the town, Ryuma discovers that Shirano was a bandit who planned the whole thing to rob the town. But since Ryuma didn't like this, he destroys both the two thieves and the dragon. At the end, it's revealed that Ryuma was actually the king and the best swordsman in the world. We also got a post-credits tie-in to the One Piece anime, as this Ryuma was the same one who appeared in the Thriller Bark arc, when Zoro won his Shusui sword.
