Instagram: Complete Data Export Guide
Method 1: Accounts Centre Export
For accounts connected to Meta services, follow these steps:
1. Open the Instagram app.
2. Navigate to your profile.
3. Tap the three-line menu.
4. Select “Settings and privacy.”
5. Click “Accounts Centre.”
6. Choose “Your information and permissions.”
7. Tap “Download your information.”
8. Select the account and data you want to download.
9. Choose a date range (we recommend all time).
10. Select the format: HTML (for viewing) or JSON (for analysis).
11. Tap “Submit request.”
12. Wait for an email notification.
Method 2: Instagram Settings Export
This method allows you to export direct Instagram data.
1. Open the Instagram app.
2. Navigate to your profile.
3. Tap the three-line menu.
4. Scroll to the “Settings and privacy” section.
5. Tap “Account.”
6. Tap “Download your information.”
7. Choose “All available information” or select specific data.
8. Set the date range and format preferences.
9. Tap “Request download.”
10. Verify the request via email.
11. Download the files when they’re ready (a 4-day window).
