Microsoft Teams + OBS Studio Screen Share "Cheat Code"
For the select few that have been screen sharing an OBS Studio Program feed into Microsoft Teams, I want to alert you that Microsoft has recently adjusted their screen share AI algorithm to reduce the smoothness of your broadcast compositions when it detects non-video content.
A prime (and concerning) example: a basic green screen webcam overlaid on your slide deck! Ruh-roh! I learned this the hard way and put in the time to diagnose the issue and find a workaround solution!
In this episode, I'll show you how you can hack the algorithm to continue to keep your screen share frame rate HIGH for smooth picture-in-picture effects. "We're back, baby!"
