What happened in Episode 20 of Cranberry Sherbet?
Alev and Abdullah's conversation is interrupted by Sönmez's arrival, but Sönmez is deeply disturbed by seeing Abdullah at Alev's house. She first broaches the matter with Kıvılcım, but she's still not at ease, so she goes to Abdullah and warns him about her discomfort. While Nursema continues to hide in Alev's house, İbrahim's family, the Pembe family, are trying to stall for time by pretending the Pembe family are still on their honeymoon. Nilay happens to see İbrahim on the road, but she can't convince anyone. Although Ömer and Kıvılcım are enjoying their time together to the fullest, the difference between their worlds is increasingly troubling Kıvılcım, and the answers she receives when she brings up the matter with Ömer fail to reassure her. Nursema, having pulled herself together, returns to her husband's house, seemingly accepting everything, to confront everyone and demand an explanation. And she drops the big bombshell at a dinner she's invited her own family to.
A brief synopsis of Kızılcık Şerbeti:
Kıvılcım (Evrim Alasya), a well-educated, realistic, and modern woman, has stood firm after her divorce and raised her two daughters according to the values she believes in. Her younger daughter, Çimen (Selin Türkmen), is still in high school, while her older daughter, Doğa (Sıla Türkoğlu), is studying dentistry at university. Kıvılcım's only desire is to see her children achieve success and happiness in the future. She is deeply disappointed when Doğa marries her boyfriend in her first year of university, but experiences the shock of her life when she meets her daughter's husband's family. Doğa's husband, Fatih (Doğukan Güngör), is a conservative family. He believes his daughter wouldn't be able to live with a family with such a different perspective on life. Doğa, however, believes that their love will overcome all differences. Kızılcık Şerbeti is a love story between two extreme families whose truths are the same but their methods are different.
