Time directed prompts are a great way to gain more control over a sequence of action within a short AI generated video. I'll show you how to write a timestamped prompt and compare how effective they are in text-to-video models, including Runway 4.5, Veo 3.1, Sora 2 Pro, Seedance 1 Pro, and Kling O1 and 2.6. This is a great way to level up your cinematic AI filmmaking but don't expect SMTPE timecode perfection quite yet. Control specific story moments in your AI videos using timestamped prompts.
