This year marks 110 years since the ill-fated Battle of the Somme, and this was the focus of Tuesdays service. Senior History students - George Crocker, Silas Steer, Jonathan Peel, Jakob Abernethy and Dan Stott, shared brief biographical information about the thirteen Old Boys of Palmerston North High School who were killed in the Battle of the Somme (Palmerston North High School split into separate boys' and girls' schools in 1920).
