MSFS Update - New CONTRAILS Effect added in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Sim Update 3!
A lot of the community were excited and looking forward to Contrails coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator - understandably so, as they are great to see!
Sim Update 3 (released on the 9th March 2021) has added this new feature! It's linked to Saturated Air Temperature so I'll show you how to trigger the contrails if you don't have any, and want to see some!
It is only available currently on our own aircraft and not YET visible on multiplayer - but that is in the plans for a future update!
Personally, I think they look great. I love the sweeping effects from turns... but one feature I would love to see - is the contrails effect during takeoff and landing in damp, cold or humid conditions! That would REALLY make MSFS stand out!
