Narcissists date people with low self esteem and in this video, I will discuss why that would be. Narcissists manipulate people with low self esteem because they are less confident in their decisions and choices and the narcissist needs this to effectively gaslight. Low self esteem and abusive relationships often go together because the person with low self esteem lacks self confidence and isn’t sure of themselves. They then are easier to manipulate because of this. So, narcissists choose people with low self esteem for this very reason; the need to gaslight to control and manipulate. So, if you find yourself asking why do I keep dating narcissists and why do I attract narcissists in my life, you need to ask yourself whether you have low self esteem and this is something the narcissist is taking advantage of. Another specific type of person the narcissist attracts is the empath. Why empaths attract narcissists is because the empath is caring and wants to ensure the other person feels cared for an wanted. The narcissist, who thinks they are the best person ever and entitled to special treatment, loves to be treated as if they are the best possible person. This boosts their ego and refills their narcissistic supply. Are narcissists predators? Yes, they are because they look to enact emotional abuse and low self esteem busters on people they meet and encounter. So, if you ask yourself why do I attract so many narcissists, look inward and see if there parts of you the narcissists uses to take advantage of and work on that to no longer be the target of the narcissist.
