How To Share iPhone Apps Using AirDrop
In this video I’m going to show you how to easily share a link to an app that you use to someone else using AirDrop.
Note though that if it’s a paid app, then this won’t give the other person a free link to the app, unless they’re in your or your family account and app sharing is enabled and available. What this will do is give them a direct link to the app on the app store to download on their own device.
To share an app, on your home screen, press and hold on the app you want to share.
From the pop-up window that appears, tap Share App. The share options will then appear.
At the top, you have some quick access options with people and ways you normally use share with them. For instance you could also text or email someone a link to the app by using that method inside here.
But to AirDrop, tap the AirDrop icon here. A list of all the Apple devices that you can share to will then appear. Tap the person or device you want to share to, and it will connect and send the link to the app on the app store.
The other person can then easily purchase or just download the app that you’ve shared on their device.
And that’s how you share iPhone apps with someone using AirDrop.
