Cars in the USSR were almost indistinguishable from foreign cars. But were they really that fast? It's hard to say, as the quality of cars in the USSR wasn't always high. Nevertheless, cars in the Soviet Union could accelerate fast enough to find out what the fastest car was, although most Soviet cars were still slow.
