Okinawa isn't as old as they say.
From my initial impression of Japan's southernmost island,
to the day we actually visited, I wondered how unexpected or impressive it would be.
The snail trip took us north from Naha City,
and then along the coast until we met Uncle Dot.

The fish market here is very clean, the fish are fresh, and the prices are excellent.
Go to the tourist spot Minatogowa Stateside Town.
