Water testing is an essential step to identify and rectify any leakages in walls before proceeding with further construction or finishing work.
1. Select All Dead Walls for Water Testing: This step is accurate. Identify and select all dead walls for water testing. Dead walls typically refer to walls that do not have any openings, such as doors or windows, and they are more susceptible to water infiltration.
2. Do all the Rectification of Leakages After 1 Hour of Water Pouring on Walls: After the initial water test, if there are any visible leakages or seepage, you should promptly address and rectify these issues. It's crucial to identify the source of the leaks and apply the necessary waterproofing or sealing materials to fix them. Make sure the repaired areas are allowed to cure before the next test. use GP2 or CNS 50 grout
3. After 1 Day, again Do Water Testing and Check the Leakages: Waiting for a day before retesting is a reasonable approach, as it allows time for the repairs to set and for any hidden or latent leaks to become apparent. It's essential to thoroughly check for any new leaks or signs of water infiltration.
4. Repeat the Process until Zero Leakages: Continue the water testing and rectification process until there are zero leakages. This may involve multiple rounds of testing and repairing until the walls are completely waterproof. Ensure that you're using the appropriate waterproofing materials and techniques for your specific construction and wall types.
5. After Water Testing Work Is Completed, Start External Painting Work: Only proceed with external painting work after you are confident that there are no leaks in the walls. Painting over walls with unresolved leaks can lead to further damage and issues with the paintwork. Make sure the walls are thoroughly dry before applying any paint or finishing materials.
