STP is blocking ports behind your back — and you have no idea why.
In this video, you'll learn how to take full control of Spanning Tree
Protocol: choose your root bridge, redirect traffic paths, and decide
exactly which ports stay active. One command at a time.

📌 In this video:
We pick up where the STP root bridge election left off and go hands-on
with three powerful levers every network engineer needs to know. First,
you'll see how to force a specific switch to become the root bridge
using both the spanning-tree vlan root primary macro and the manual
spanning-tree vlan priority command. Then we manipulate interface cost
to redirect which path switch B uses to reach the root bridge — watching
a blocked port flip to root port live in the CLI. Finally, we dive into
port priority: why STP chose to block port 45 instead of 41 when two
links have identical costs, and how modifying the BPDU port priority on
switch A changes the blocking decision on switch B. Verified at every
step with show spanning-tree. Pure CCNA 200-301 lab content.
