The new Changan CS55 Plus 2021 model year will look like the flagship Uni-K, although it will definitely not get the same luxurious equipment.
The car will slightly increase in size: 4515x1865x1680 mm. with a wheelbase of 2656 mm, but this will happen due to the new bumpers, since both the platform and the chassis with independent suspensions will remain unchanged.
By the way, the "trolley" of this crossover is quite modern, because the previous generation model had a Blue Drive modification with a micro-hybrid system consisting of a "turbo four" and an electric motor-generator.
The latest version of the Changan CS55 Plus, which is positioned as a 2022 model year car, has already been certified in China, so you can find photographs of the crossover in the public domain, presented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the PRC. Like the mid-size Uni-K, this SUV boasts a characteristic "streamlined" body silhouette, an unusual radiator grille with a mosaic pattern, narrow headlights and a two-section brake light on the rear spoiler.
The new Changan CS55 Plus 2021 is so far announced with one engine - a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline turbo unit with a capacity of
188 hp. Apparently, this is a modernized engine taken from the previous generation crossover, which had 180 hp.
Of the available transmissions, the same "boxes" may well remain in service - a 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic. The drive, as before, will be only front.
In terms of equipment, in the "top" version, the crossover will at least offer:
• dual-zone climate control;
• cruise control;
• all-round cameras;
• keyless entry;
• rain sensor;
• combined interior trim.
A restyled version of the 2018 CS55 crossover is currently offered in Russia. The price of the initial version is about 1.4 million rubles. For comparison, in China, the more recent Changan CS55 Plus is sold for 92.9 thousand yuan, or about 1 million rubles at the current exchange rate. It remains to wait for the crossover to arrive in Russia before the end of 2021.
