As Channel 17 special correspondent Roman Gnatyuk says, the city makes a mixed impression. On the one hand, it seems that it is coming to life, on the other, it feels like people are constantly waiting. Like compressed springs. Our film crew was accompanied to the shelling sites by the deputy chief of staff of one of the brigades with the call sign "Berkut".
The locals of the outlying Komsomolets district, which is closely adjacent to the "6/7 bis" mine, are surprisingly talkative. No one is afraid of the camera. They willingly show the shelling. They have only one question: "For what?" After all, they are just civilians... The attitude of the official parties to the armed conflict to what happened is already predictable and predictable. The Ukrainian side assessed the shelling of Gorlovka as a terrorist attack by the DPR. The military of the self-proclaimed republic, in turn, claim that the shelling was carried out by Ukrainian security forces.
