Curious to know the purpose of the function of the lock/unlock button on each and every app on the recent or overview screen.
Android phones was built for multitasking, so naturally it has the ability to alternate between multiple apps. If one gets interrupted by a call or message, this feature enables to get right back to what has been done earlier. Just navigate to the Recents app screen to see all opened and recent apps and resume from there.
But what happens if one accidentally clears all running apps or also swipes out one of the apps? To ensure the recently used apps are not cleared from the overviews or the Recents app screen, Android provides a key feature to lock 🔒 so them so it doesn't clear the app or unlock 🔓 them when you don't need to.
