The CSS Hunley, American Submarine
H. L. Hunley was a submarine of the American Confederate States. H. L. Hunley, almost 40 feet long, was built at Mobile, Alabama, launched in July 1863, and shipped by rail to Charleston, SC on August 12, 1863. On February 17, 1864, while on patrol sank a enemy ship in the Charleston Harbor.
The pictures of the "Hunley" on my video were purchased at the museum
site because no photography is allowed during the tour of the "Hunley" itself.
