ANIMATION RIGS I USE:
ALL AGES
-In blender IKs
When starting out I used to only use the Iks that come with blender and only place two of them around the ankles (chain length of 3 and then toggle rotate). I wouldn't personally put these around the wrists because on some animations this may cause more problems than they are worth. Another issue I ran into these was an inconsistency of the rotation but the issue isn't difficult to work around Either way I found this to be very helpful for me in the beginning and would recommend that newcomers to creating animations use this.

This is not a rig that I would recommend for beginners as it can be very intimidating when starting. This rig can be very helpful when going for more ambitious animations. The only downside would be that for every frame of the controller rig that you lock you must lock all of the base rig's joints. This is a tedious process but well worth it.

This is probably my favorite rig to use and is definitely one of my default go-tos. This rig is for those who want more than the Iks but also don't want to deal with all that is the Kijiko rig. These rigs contain the human and mermaid rig, clothed and naked which is a big help when making sure that you animations can be used for the male or female build and helps to prevent clipping in your animation. The ONLY reason that I don't always use this rig is because it doesn't have a way to move the hips area which can be a necessity which is one of the reasons that I have Kijiko. (This creator has also come out with a toddler rig)

Since downloading this is not a rig that I have had the chance to use. However, I have played around with is and have found that I like the way it works. It's not that intimidating of a rig or hard to use and I will be using it in my next child animations

Finding these rigs were a godsend honestly and I love that I have found them and I am waiting for the perfect animation idea to use them. The default rig the game provides is a slim little thing which makes creating for the thickies a guessing game and tends to turn off creators from creating animations for the sims with a little more cellulite on them. With this the rig this is not a problem. The only thing is you will be limited to Iks. I am currently trying to figure out how to transfer controllers from other rigs

As much as some wish the aging process in The Sims was a little smoother in terms of height that is not happening but yall can dream with these height rigs! These rigs offer a range of heights from infant to basketball player for you to create animations with and add a little more to your stories and each "life stage". In game you would simply open CAS and choose the body preset and load up the animation the way you usually would.
