update: since I posted this a few hours back. I thought I should come in and mention that the rod can drop solo and duo. This was not intended as a guide but maybe I can provide some input. I do not know about a group of 3 or 4. It can drop in a group of 5, but with the amount of time alloted to farm this, it might be feasible to get in as fast as one can in hopes for the rod to drop. (Infused Metal Rod) When the episode first opened, the Bel was being opened quickly. Later when I was helping others, I believe it took over 3 hours to farm the Insurgency Heroics to reopen the Bel.
update 2: also, don't stand in front of the person carrying the ammo because you will drop fire in their path and they cannot use a health stone while carrying the ammo. Plus if you stand in your red circle until it fills, like boss 3 in IC, and then move like boss 2 in ic, you will put less fire on the ground.
