PAKISTAN NAVY’S MARITIME EXERCISE SEASPARK-2024 COMMENCES
Opening brief of Pakistan Navy’s major maritime exercise SEASPARK-24 was held at Karachi. The biennial exercise is aimed to assess war preparedness and validate operational plans of Pakistan Navy taking cognizance of emerging regional and global maritime challenges. Exercise also provides impetus to Pakistan's resolve to maintain peace and security in the region. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf graced the opening brief as Chief Guest.
During the opening session, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) presented the overview of exercise. He emphasized that in prevailing strategic environment with growing reliance on Grey-Hybrid Warfare, Pakistan Navy remains fully committed to protect national maritime interests.
Exercise SEASPARK-24 will be conducted in Arabian Sea. All operational units of Pakistan Navy including ships, submarines, aircrafts, UAVs, Special Forces and Pak Marines along with elements of Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force will participate in the exercise.
The Exercise is being attended by large number of officers from Tri-Services and representatives from Ministries of Defence, Law and Justice, Finance, Foreign Affairs as well as National Security Division.
