HOW TO FIX BLACK SCREEN FORD SYNC3 2019 ecosport, BROKE CARPLAY FORD APIM REPLACEMENT *STEP BY STEP*
This video is pertaining to the radio screen inside a 2019 ford ecosport going black and not functioning. We initially checked all the fuses and tried all the soft/hard resets listed with the 2019 Ford ecosport. However we came to the conclusion that it had to be the APIM, after researching this seems to be a common issue and the dealership likes to charge an arm and leg for the repair. However buying the part through eBay for $200-$300 and about 45 minutes of work, we were able to repair it ourselves. We also noticed there was no step by step video guide on replacing the APIM sync 3 module for this ford vehicle. So we decided to film our own. First the Apple car play stopped working, then the screen went black and then the outlets stopped charging.
