Voltbike Yukon 750 (2018) - Speed Sensor Issue - opened motor for first time in a year..!
I was having an issue with the speed being incorrect. Voltbike has a video on their playlist showing how this is fixed, so I thought I’d share my experience which was very slightly different, but same concept overall. It’s caused by one or several magnets becoming dislodged within the hub casing.
UPDATE - the fix mostly worked, and I now have speed readings in the 30's km/hr, but for some reason it is still "bouncing" the speed readings. It shows say 30km/h and then 26km/h, and then climbs to 30, goes back down etc. I'm not sure why this is happening but all the magnets are re-installed and bonded to the metal - maybe it's a controller issue. In any event, this is not impacting the operation of the bike in any way. It's just one of those gremlins you get in machines from time to time. Meh :)
