Making a Generator Quieter for FREE
Messing around in the shop the other day I toyed with the idea of making my Craftsman generator a little more tolerable to be around. I added a muffler from an old SV650, and it turned out fairly descent. The generator is quieter 5-10 Db depending on where you are standing. We were able to use it at the track with great success. I just wish it were lighter so I could load and unload it from the van more easily. A Generac may be in my future.
