For example, “se composer” isn’t actually reflexive. It's a pronominal verb (got the “se”) but its meaning is passive, not reflexive!
In French, “Le site du Peyrou se compose d’un jeu de terrasses…” translates to “is composed of” in English, demonstrating passive voice rather than a reflexive action where the subject acts on itself. 💭
“Le site se compose de” can also be written “Le site est composé de” which matches the English example.
Most of us are led to believe in the beginner stage that if it has “se” then it’s reflexive. Then, as we advance, we never learn the full story.
