Solving the Updatable Query Challenge in Microsoft Access
Non-updatable queries can be a nuisance when you are creating a long string of data manipulation and then get stopped by the prior query not being updateable. It can be frustrating when you need to get to the next point in your data, but are stopped. In this video, we tackle the challenge of creating updatable queries in Microsoft Access. We discuss various scenarios, referential integrity, relationships between tables, and demonstrate how to delete records from queries. Finally, we share a workaround for situations when Access does not cooperate, involving the creation of a temporary table.
