2023 GRAMMY® Interview: Neal H. Pogue

Pogue talks about what the GRAMMY’s® mean to him, how he uses Auto-Tune on vocalists, and why this sixth GRAMMY® is of particular importance to his family. Pogue has two 2023 GRAMMY nominations: Record of the Year for Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit” and Best Progressive R&B Album for Lacy’s Gemini Rights.
Pogue got his start in music in the late 1970’s, working his way up to become one of the most sought-after professionals in the business. As the engineering talent behind such massive hits as TLC’s 11-time platinum single “Waterfalls” and Outkast’s dance-floor-filling “Hey Ya!,” Pogue’s touch can be heard on some of the biggest hits of the last two decades.
