We get calls, emails and visits from people with all kinds of questions. Some of the most common we get from new/prospective divers are "what's the difference between Agency A and Agency B?" Or another common one, "what's the difference between XYZ Dive Shop and ABC Dive Shop?" While usually easy to answer, it's difficult to without coming off as bragging or belittling because that's certainly not the case or the right approach to those questions. At its core, it's all about the instructor and level (quality) of instruction EACH student receives in their respective course. Inexperienced staff, large class sizes, completing checklists rather than gaining competency, inadequate dive sites and poorly functioning/fitting gear are some of the major (albeit common) things to avoid when choosing the course you're pursuing and the dive shop you call "home."
