Just my thoughts on a strategy that could massively boost sales of the DJI Action 4 and kill the release of the GoPro Hero 12 Black.
If DJI immediately discounted the Action 4 by $50 and the equivalent globally, they could easily kill off the GoPro Hero 12 Black before it's released.
This could really boost DJI's presence in the action camera market. It could be great news for potential purchasers of the Action 4 and could hopefully teach GoPro a long overdue lesson that they really do need to learn from.
If this did happen, it could be fantastic news for GoPro Hero users. As it should force GoPro to make sure that they do substantial year on year upgrades to the Hero in the future and not this lacklustre update from the Hero 11 to the Hero 12 that we are about to witness. Which could mean that by the time we get the Hero release in 2024, probably the GoPro Hero 13 Black. Then GoPro should deliver a Hero action camera that has proper updates, new features and functions and something that's worthy of the Hero name and our money.
