The Hidden SP404 Feature No One Talks About
In this video, I’m seeing if the SP-404MKII Sound Generator can actually make usable music. No samples, no external synths, just what’s built into the box. I start from a blank project and build an ambient bass and keys pattern from scratch, using resampling, effects, and a simple workflow I’d realistically use in a track.
I’ve been in an ambient mood lately thanks to a lot of rainy, snowy days here in New York City, so that’s the vibe I’m going for. This isn’t about hidden features or clever tricks, but a real-world test of what the SP-404MKII sound generator is actually good at.
