The eight-minute video highlights the collaboration between composer and pianist Amir Bayat and Kamancheh virtuoso Imamyar Hasanov. "Lullaby," a poignant piece composed in the winter of 2018, was created as a heartfelt tribute to the grieving mothers of Kermanshah following the devastating earthquake. Initially an instrumental for piano and kamancheh, it later included a touching poem by an anonymous poet.
In April 2024, during their American concert tour, Hasanov and Bayat reunited to perform this evocative composition on stage, preserving the original arrangement that resonated deeply with audiences. Hasanov's deeply emotional and exquisitely executed performance of "Lullaby" so moved the composer that Bayat designated this piece to Hasanov for a lifetime.
