Programming A Pendulum In Python
This is how I implemented the motion for my simple pendulum videos. Basically, code simple harmonic motion for one pendulum, and then back calculate the length of all pendulums such that they have an integer number of cycles in a given amount of time.
I used a small angle approximation, even in cases that wouldn't be appropriate.
