Everest Stories Update: A Climber's Nightmare - Surviving Frostbite Surgery
In 2017, Sherpa Vlogs reported on a story about a young Sherpa mountaineer and his client who were involved in an accident on Mount Everest. Sange suffered severe frostbite and underwent numerous surgeries in Kathmandu and the United States in an effort to restore the function of his fingers. Despite these efforts, it was not possible to fully regain the use of his fingers as he had hoped.
But Sange did not let this setback hold him back. Despite the challenges he faced, he found the strength to return to the mountains and lead numerous mountaineering trips to Everest and other mountains around the world. In this documentary, we follow Sange on his journey of recovery and renewal as he continues to learn, explore, and lead trips in Nepal and around the world. This is the story of Sange's new beginnings and the indomitable spirit that drives him to keep climbing higher.
