Amazon KDP changed, it’s not that easy nor that quick to make money on anymore. The reason for that is very simple - competition, huge, huge competition which is caused by the development of AI and KDP gaining popularity in general.
So, what to do now, how to be different, stand out and (what’s the main point of all this) - make sales and make money?
My number 1 advice is - focus on important things. What I mean by that is don’t throw paint on the wall hoping for a painting → what I mean by that is - basically don’t make simple low content books like journals and notebooks.
Why is that? Because all newcomers from YouTube and other channels will be making these. And these being quickest and easiest to make are also the hardest to sell.
You have to think about it like any other product - *make it good! That’s the least you can do.*
The better you will make your product, the less is the competition.
It’s better to be making one targeted series of children's books for a year than to spit out 20 notebooks a day.
By the way we will stick with children’s book example for the rest of the video.
It’s better but our monkey brain will want to get something published as fast as possible, and as much as possible. Which in such a saturated place as low content KDP is not a good approach, we want quality over quantity here.
