Meet the creators of Iago, Alex and Zero. They created a browser extension to help you learn Japanese by watching your favorite shows with subtitles. The extension works by making the subtitles more comprehensible with things like translations and built-in dictionaries and flashcards. However, Iago goes beyond similar apps by providing additional grammar context as you look up words.
Integrating grammar while immersing is a valuable tool, but it’s something other apps in the space either don’t do well — or even do at all. By including grammar context, Iago helps you maximize the time you spend immersing and allows you to notice concepts you might not have recognized before.
Listen in as Ethan interviews Alex and Zero and discuss their inspiration, how their experience as language learners impacted the way they built their app, and how tools like Iago are valuable resources for Japanese immersion learners.
