Undertale is an indie RPG that took the Internet by storm when it came out a few months ago last year, winning many Game of the Year awards, some people went this far by saying that it's the best game ever, better that Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I haven't heard of this game when it was all over social media last year because of school (2nd Term was overwhelming), and that's really sad to be honest. I first played this game in January, and its a game where you don't have to kill anybody. I didn't get the motive and I just did what I always do in RPGs, but the game makes you feel bad for your actions. First, I did the Neutral route, so this time, I decided to listen to the game. This is where you go for the Pacifist route, not killing anyone and befriending monsters, and this is where Undertale shines. This route made me fall in love with this game. I am currently doing the Genocide route, which is about killing every single monster until they are all wiped out. This is the hardest and the most depressing route. Undertale has some Earthbound influences here and there, and some bullet hell shooting games. The soundtrack is the best I've ever heard in a video game since Super Mario Galaxy, it reminds me of Super Mario World, where the main theme is recycle and remixed. Overall, if you don't get Undertale, you're gonna have a bad time. So, my New Year's Resolution is to play more RPGs. Playing this game fills me with Determination.
