My secret for learning prepositions (5 Easy Steps)
Prepositions are evil!
Seriously. Prepositions are one of the hardest things to learn in a foreign language. This video is my 5 step method for getting a better grasp on the slippery little eels we call prepositions.
This method doesn't require you to spend a lot of time studying grammar. It just takes a small time commitment up front, and then all you have to do is spend a moderate amount of time listening to music in your target language. It's that easy!
If you haven't taken a grammar class in a while, prepositions are those little words we usually use to relate nouns and pronouns to the rest of the sentence in some way. (Think of 'in', 'on', 'at,' 'by', 'to', and many more.)
For example, take the following sentence.
I am going:
to Mordor.
into Mordor.
near Mordor.
through Mordor.
towards Mordor.
past Mordor.
Every one of these prepositions gives the sentence a slightly different meaning, and as language learners, it is imperative that we be able to distinguish between these meanings.
