In the biomedical field, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations are a low-cost, non-invasive method to gain insight into key physiological processes and to evaluate the efficacy of medical devices and interventions. In this webinar, we teamed up with Synopsys to demonstrate the combined power of their Simpleware software and our CONVERGE CFD solver. Simpleware is an industry-leading image processing platform that allows you to comprehensively process 3D/4D image data and export models for design and simulation workflows. We walk through the process of creating a CAD geometry from a medical image using Simpleware, then show how to use that geometry to run a simulation in CONVERGE. The key differentiator of CONVERGE is its autonomous meshing feature, which easily handles complex, moving biological geometries and dynamically refines the grid when and where it’s needed to capture important physical phenomena. In addition, CONVERGE offers simple case setup, a library of relevant physical models, and built-in post-processing capabilities. This webinar showcases the ease with which you can conduct biomedical simulations from start to finish using state-of-the-art tools.
