Bernard Pivot interviews Jean-Claude Carrière about the release of his book "The Valladolid Controversy" and before the broadcast on France 3 of the television film based on the book and directed by Jean Daniel Verhaeghe. Also guests on the show: Jean Carmet, Dominique and Marie-Christine Ferry, Françoise Verny, and Jean-Claude Brisseau. Jean-Claude Carrière discusses his many activities and defines himself as a storyteller. He talks about the author's responsibility in choosing and treating the subjects addressed, then about Luis Buñuel, with whom he worked and to whom the television film is dedicated. At the end of the program, he answers Bernard Pivot's famous "questionnaire."
