Our elementary learners certainly need to learn the basic building blocks of learning like reading, writing and arithmetic. They also need to learn the basic building blocks of being a problem solver like critical thinking, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Project Based Learning in elementary school puts learning in context, so that our learners can use the knowledge they gain in a variety of settings. We don’t want them to freak out when they have to apply knowledge in a new setting whether that be on a test or in the real world.

By teaching our youngest learners employability skills, we are giving them vocabulary and a process to identify a problem and offer a solution. That’s how you start helping kids understand their passions, and we all start making the world a better place. Every kid deserves to be a part of an inspiring story.

This is no inspiration hype session either. At this point, our learners are being asked to choose future paths earlier and earlier. Young learners need to start learning what their passions are; what they are interested in...and not interested in.

Project Based Learning helps them do this!
