Sony Creates Camera for Formula 1 Film
For the new Formula 1 film, Sony developed an innovative action camera that was installed directly in the cockpit of the racing car. The design was based on the matrix of the Sony FX3 film camera (also installed in the Sony FX6 and Sony A7S III). In eight weeks, Sony developed 21 prototypes complete with an ND system and remote control.
Considering that the film is shown in IMAX cinemas, this speaks to the technical quality of the material obtained. The rating of the new Formula 1 on IMDB at the time of the release of the material is 7.9 out of 10 based on 56 thousand ratings. This means that the film was a success. In Russia, the film has already been released in limited release.
