Let me tell you why I did the fast. Back on December 26th, I had a major surgery on my foot which unfortunately failed. We are still unsure of what went wrong, but the fact remains that I recently underwent another surgery, a week ago. I decided to fast a day and a half before the procedure for a specific reason. I was aware that fasting releases a lot of human growth hormones and is a very healthy process. I believed that fasting would enhance the healing process of my surgery and help me recover faster.
