How To Clean & Prime a Sealed Surface | Dulux Concrete & Paving
Concrete & Paving surfaces absorb various types of liquids such as water, petrol oil and brake fluid. If your concrete or paving surface is not properly cleaned, concrete coatings will have a difficult time adhering to the surface. A sealed surface doesn’t require etching but is still likely contaminated with dirt, oil and grease.
To achieve a coloured finish, our water-based primer must be applied. Both primers ensure your Concrete & Paving Stage 3 Finish is provided with the best possible surface to bond to. Which primer you need, will depend on whether you have bare concrete or a sealed surface.
The Sealed Surface Primer sits on top of the surface and acts as an extreme adhesion promoter, allowing it to bond to difficult surfaces and provide a compatible surface for any Concrete & Paving Stage 3 Finish.
