Live Looping and MIDI Control: Preliminary Concepts, Note Messages, and Continuous Controllers
MIDI is a big and potentially intimidating subject. But there's only a few MIDI concepts you need to understand in order to use MIDI to control a looping device, and this video approaches it from that specific angle. We look at the basics of "what MIDI does," and examine the two types of MIDI commands - Note messages and Continuous Controllers - that tend to be used in controlling live looping devices.
