Why do we exercise? For health and beauty, of course. But the problem is that sometimes we make mistakes that prevent us from achieving these goals. And these mistakes are not only made by beginners but even by experienced people. In this video, I've compiled the main mistakes we often make after workouts, which we definitely need to be aware of and avoid. So watch the video to the end; it'll be very interesting and useful.

What is a cool-down? We've all heard of a warm-up. But the word "cool-down" evokes only a slight hesitation in people. Incidentally, a cool-down is needed to smoothly transition from a stressful state to a normal, calm state. The point is that abruptly ending an intense workout can lead to disruptions in the cardiorespiratory system and muscle fibers. Simply put, you need to gradually transition from intense exercise to a more gradual and moderate pace.

So, if you've been running fast, you need to first slow down properly and then transition to walking. An even more disastrous mistake is when people immediately sit down to rest after a run. This is unacceptable. And if you're working out in a gym, for example, with weights or pull-up bars, the best thing to do is walk around afterward. Generally speaking, you should walk around between sets as well, but afterward, to calm your cardiovascular and respiratory systems, you need to walk for 5-10 minutes.

Another mistake people often make after a workout is going to a sauna or steam room. This is a very, very bad idea; never do it. Generally speaking, going to a sauna isn't recommended; it's not healthy. There's a myth that it's beneficial, but it's not. Incidentally, taking a hot bath isn't healthy either: it might be good for your nervous system, but it's bad for your internal organs. So, returning to the sauna after a workout. If you absolutely can't break the habit, at least go on a different day, that is, when you haven't worked out.
