SiFly Q12 Shatters Drone World Record | 26-Mile Flight Doubles Previous Record | Uncrewed Triple Challenge 2025
Watch history in the making as the SiFly Q12 becomes the longest-flying delivery quadcopter in the world, flying 26 miles with a 10-pound payload - more than DOUBLING the previous world record of 11 miles held by BARQ (UAE).
On May 20, 2025, during Michigan's inaugural Uncrewed Triple Challenge, SiFly's Q12 quadcopter achieved what the drone industry thought impossible: completing a 63-mile autonomous flight course through 15 mph winds with gusts up to 32 mph. We were the ONLY team to complete the air mission.
🏆 WORLD RECORD ACHIEVEMENT:
• Previous record: 11 miles (BARQ, UAE 2021)
• SiFly Q12: 26 miles per battery (back-to-back 26-mile legs)
• Total competition distance: 63 miles
• Payload: 10.6 pounds (5x typical drone capacity)
• Wind conditions: 15 mph sustained, 32 mph gusts
Q12 SPECIFICATIONS:
• 2-hour hover capability
• 3-hour forward flight range
• 10-pound payload capacity
• Autonomous navigation
• All-weather operation
THE COMPETITION:
The Uncrewed Triple Challenge, announced by Michigan Governor Whitmer, tested autonomous vehicles across water, air, and land. SiFly partnered with DataSpeed (ground) and Mythos AI (maritime) to win Best Overall Team, with @SiFlyAviation taking the air segment victory.
REAL-WORLD IMPACT:
This isn't just about breaking records. The Q12's capabilities enable:
• Emergency deliveries to remote locations
• Search and rescue operations in any weather
• Critical supply delivery without infrastructure
• Cost-effective alternative to helicopter missions
