In years past, writing browser extensions has been a secret and difficult art: - A Firefox add on was completely different than a Chrome extension - Each browser release carried a significant risk of breaking your extension - APIs were inconsistent, clunky and limited - The extension runtime had different JavaScript language features

But we are in a new era. The WebExtensions API standard is accessible to all Web Developers: - Identical extension code that works on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge - APIs are stable across browser versions - APIs are developed and standardized by committee - First-class browser support for classes, async await, generators, destructuring, spreading and much more

In this presentation we’ll make a cool browser extension that could compliment your company’s web application.
